There will be a College Fair at Willams Baptist College on October 23rd, 2013. Seniors will have 30-45 minutes to visit with any college rep they would like to see and pick up information. Most college in this area and many from throughout Arkansas will be there to meet the seniors from Northeast Arkansas. WBC hosts the event. It is an excellent opportunity for our seniors to get information while planning for their future.
Jostens will be here Monday, October 21, for the Junior Class ring premiere.
There will be a Hunter Education Class in the High School Cafeteria on October 25th (5-9pm) and October 26th (8 am -2pm).
MHS junior class members will hold the First Annual Redneck Games on Saturday, October 26, 2013, at Maynard’s Pioneer Park from 1:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Activities will include lawn mower races, Whack-A-Car, a hot dog eating contest, a duck call contest, Most Redneck Truck competition, Biggest Beard competition, and many more fun activities. Registration for the lawn mower race is $10 per entry before October 19 and $15 after October 19. All interested participants need to contact Cassandra Bindea call (870) 647-3500 or

Students: the next ACT test will be December 14th. Registration deadline is November 8, 2013. If you are interested please see Ms. Lynn.

Parent Orientation is Thursday, August 15 from 5:00 to 7:00. Refreshments will be served in the high school cafeteria for everyone who attends. The first day of school will be Monday, August 19. We will run a full regular schedule and the buses will run their regular routes.

Maynard High School is ranked #34 among all high schools in Arkansas and is ranked #2287 nationally among all high schools nationwide. Maynard received a silver medal for this accomplishment.

There will be a chili supper in the H.S. cafeteria before the ballgame Friday night, sponsored by band parents. $5 for chili, drink & dessert.
